Rhythmic Movement Training - Developmental Kinesiology
Rhythmic Movement Training
Developed by Dr Harald Blomberg a psychiatrist in Stockholm, Sweden after studying with Kirsten Linde, a self taught therapist in Stockholm, and Peter Blythe from INPP in Chester, England - these gentle rocking and rolling movements are based on the developmental movements babies naturally make before birth and during the first year of life.
These movements are combines with the powerful kinesiology balancing techniques to promote integration of structural and emotional challenges in a safe, gentle way.

Developmental Kinesiology
Developmental Kinesiology works particularly well with children or adults with special needs or developmental delays. It does this through stimulating or inhibiting infant reflexes and integrating their sense of balance, space, vision, hearing, smell, and touch.
Through Developmental Kinesiology, we have achieved positive results with children and adults who have:
Hypersensitivity or under-sensitivity to stimulus
Underdeveloped motor or learning skills
Speech & Reading difficulties
Postural Imbalances
Poor concentration
Balance Problems
Bedwetting beyond 5 years old
Psychological challenges
ADD/ADHD
Cerebral Palsy
Dyslexia
Autism
Developmental Kinesiology incorporates primitive childhood reflexes integration techniques from Rhythmic Movement Training of Dr. Harald Blomberg and Kerstin Linde; Claire Hocking of the Whole Brain Centre; Brendan O’Hara Movement and Learning work with bean bags and music; cranio-sacral techniques; sensory integration techniques; and, Brain Gym. Developmental Kinesiology works at encouraging the person to move through developmental stages that were not integrated efficiently during infanthood.
